JAVA Developer Trading Industry

You will be a part of a small team that works very closely with the business to build new features and enhance existing features of the ATS platform. The team is actively engaged in producing/discussing new ideas and takes an iterative approach to feature development that helps us eventually create a product exactly as the business visualizes. The team has a distinct start-up mentality in the approach it takes to build the products; features are turned around quickly and built upon incrementally.
Each team member has individual responsibility to produce while also sharing collective responsibility for the design and performance of the system. You will interact frequently with the testing team and will frequently get a lot of direct feedback on the features you build. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of this industry will play enormous roles in your effectiveness in this role.
Requirements:
-Strong server-side java skills (multi-threaded programming / concurrency, javax packages)
-Strong analytical and design skills
-Excellent communicator both verbal and written
-Understanding of design and programming best practices
-Very sound understanding of algorithms and data structures including java-specific knowledge of these areas.
Additional skills:
-Knowledge of the equities trading industry and FIX protocol
-Swing, web-rendered development
-Experience with Linux, Tomcat servers

-Languages: Java, UNIX shell scripting, scripting languages (PERL/Groovy/Ruby/Python)

-J2EE Application Servers: Apache Tomcat Servlet Engine
-Miscellaneous: Knowledge of and experience with OOAD and design patterns, UML, Java IDE (Eclipse / netbeans / intelliJ)
